With those “when you want to design a character but you don’t know color theory” posts flying around I thought this would be relevant again.

there’s also Coolors website that gives you randomized palettes!
Don’t forget ColourLovers, either! It’s a social media-esque site where you can browse tons of palettes and share your own.
You can browse the most popular ones or search for certain colors, themes, and even specific hex codes!
When you find one you like, you can download a wallpaper swatch of it and also select the specific colors it uses to look at more palettes that use those same ones.
ColourLovers is my go-to for when I’m having trouble coming up with a color scheme! It’s also been around for over a decade, so there’s plenty to browse through.

Dude I thought of how hilarious if Philip and Theodosia jr got together but like Modern AU, so like Alexander and Burr are trying not to kill each other because they love their children too much (and like the dinner tables Eliza is holding onto Alexander and Theodosia Sr is holding onto Burr complimenting Eliza's cooking) Anonymous

this got like 4 times longer than I anticipated, I’m really sorry orz It’s basic beginning stuff I guess, stuff that you must have seen everywhere already but I can’t begin to tell you how important it is, at least to me, to know what the hell that mass you’re drawing is. Even if I’m not the best at it (and even if I could use some anatomy studying lately coughcough), it’s something I’m PASSIONATE about and something I consider you have to do, to learn and absorb in order to draw people and be happy with it. Because in my case, once I kinda sorta got the hang of drawing bodies, I felt my hand free, relaxed. I felt happy as hell with what I started being able to draw and I enjoyed drawing bodies 210%
